Amazon Frogbit is a practical floating plant with round, lily pad-like leaves that sit on the water's surface while long, feathery roots trail below — giving fish and shrimp cover, shading lower-light plants, and competing directly with algae for nutrients.
Fast-growing and low maintenance, Frogbit works well for surface coverage in open-top aquariums and paludariums. It tolerates almost any lighting and gives fry and shy fish a place to retreat.
