Black Skirt Tetras are a bold, eye-catching schooling fish with distinctive long, flowing black fins that resemble a flowing skirt — giving them their common name. Their silver-gray bodies are offset by two bold black vertical bars and their dramatic finnage, making them a striking presence in any community tank.
Hardy, adaptable, and easy to care for, Black Skirt Tetras are a great choice for beginners. They are best kept in schools of 6 or more, and can occasionally exhibit mild fin nipping with very slow, long-finned species.
