A CO₂ Drop Checker is an essential monitoring tool for any planted aquarium running CO₂ injection. It provides a continuous, real-time visual indication of dissolved CO₂ levels in your tank via a color-changing liquid, green indicates optimal CO₂, blue indicates too little, and yellow indicates dangerously high levels that could harm fish.
The drop checker is filled with 4dKH reference solution and a pH indicator dye, and hung inside the aquarium where it equilibrates with the surrounding water. Unlike electronic CO₂ monitors, drop checkers require no batteries or calibration and provide a reliable, low-maintenance reading at all times.
