Frozen Bloodworm consists of the larvae of the chironomid midge, high in protein and readily eaten by most carnivorous and omnivorous freshwater species — bettas, cichlids, corydoras, loaches, and shrimp will all take to it. Because it's frozen rather than freeze-dried, it holds onto far more of its original nutritional value and palatability.

Fish tend to respond to it with noticeably more enthusiasm than they show for dry foods, which makes it useful for conditioning fish ahead of breeding, tempting fussy eaters, or simply adding variety alongside a regular diet of pellets or flakes. Thaw a cube in tank water before feeding, don't refreeze it, keep it frozen in storage, and use it within six months of opening.

Sold frozen. Local pickup or express delivery only — cannot be shipped via standard mail.
