HC Cuba - Hemianthus callitrichoides forms one of the finest, most even carpets available, with tiny round leaves packed tightly enough to resemble a miniature lawn or hillside once fully grown in.
This is a high-tech plant: strong lighting and CO₂ injection are essentially required to get a carpet to form rather than a scattered patch of individual plants. Given those conditions it spreads quickly across the foreground via a creeping habit, which is why it's a common choice in competition-level aquascapes.
Sold as a tissue culture or potted plant.

Notes
Commonly melts back after planting before it establishes — expect a rough patch in the first 1–2 weeks. Strong lighting and CO2 are effectively required for a full, low carpet rather than upward growth.
