The Honey Gourami is a small, gentle labyrinth fish well suited to nano and shrimp tanks where bolder species would cause problems. Males take on a warm honey-golden color with a deep orange-red throat and belly, a look that comes through especially well under warm lighting.
Hardy and easy to care for, Honey Gouramis settle in quickly to planted nano and community aquariums and rarely bother tankmates. Their calm temperament makes them one of the more forgiving labyrinth fish for newer keepers.
