Given enough light, CO₂, and fertilizer, Ludwigia Super Red produces broad oval leaves in a deep, saturated crimson that's hard to reproduce with other species which is why it shows up so often as a red focal point in aquascapes.
It grows more compactly than standard Ludwigia repens, with shorter spacing between leaves, giving it a denser, more textured presence in the midground or background. Regular trimming encourages it to branch out into a full, bushy cluster rather than a single tall stem.
