Pearl Gouramis carry a fine mosaic of pearlescent white spots across a warm brownish-silver body, and males develop an orange-red throat that deepens in color as breeding approaches. It's a subtle but distinctive pattern that sets them apart from other gouramis.
Peaceful and hardy, Pearl Gouramis rank among the better large gouramis for community aquariums, getting along with a wide range of tankmates. They do best in densely planted tanks with calm water and some shaded cover.
