Pogostemon Stellatus Octopus

Pogostemon Stellatus Octopus stands out among stem plants for its unusual shape — star-shaped whorls of long, thin, needle-like leaves radiate outward from each node, resembling the arms of an octopus and giving the plant a feathery, unusual texture.

Native to Southeast Asia and Australia, this fast-growing stem plant does best under moderate to high light and benefits from CO2 injection. Its leaves shift from bright green to soft purple-pink depending on light intensity and water conditions.

Its unusual form makes it a strong midground to background plant, adding depth and contrast next to broader-leaved neighbors. Once established, it grows quickly and responds well to regular trimming, filling out fuller and bushier with each cut.
