Pothos (Epipremnum aureum) is a fast-growing trailing vine with glossy, heart-shaped leaves that look equally at home cascading from a shelf, spilling out of a hanging basket, or trained along a trellis. It tolerates a wide range of indoor conditions and needs very little intervention to keep growing, which is part of why it shows up in so many plant collections.
Because it thrives in humid air, Pothos does particularly well near aquariums, terrariums, and paludariums, and its roots can be grown directly in tank water rather than soil. Many aquarium keepers use it in open-top setups to help pull excess nutrients out of the water column. This listing includes Golden, Marble Queen, and Neon varieties, depending on availability.
