Ramshorn Snails combine function with a fair amount of visual variety, thanks to flat, coiled shells that range from classic red and brown to blue and leopard-spotted morphs.
They're persistent scavengers, working through decaying plant matter, uneaten food, and soft algae on every surface of the tank. Ramshorns are completely peaceful and safe around all fish and shrimp. Populations can grow quickly in well-fed tanks, but controlled feeding keeps their numbers in check.
