Root Tabs (Fertilizer Capsules)

Root Tabs are slow-release fertilizer capsules pressed directly into the substrate, delivering a concentrated supply of essential nutrients to the root zone of heavy-feeding aquatic plants. They are particularly beneficial for root-feeding plants such as Amazon Swords, Cryptocorynes, Vallisneria, and Tiger Lotus, which absorb the majority of their nutrients through their root systems rather than the water column.

Each tab releases nutrients gradually over several weeks, making them a low-maintenance and highly effective fertilization method. They are an ideal complement to liquid fertilizers in heavily planted tanks, and the primary fertilization method of choice for inert substrate setups where the substrate provides no nutrients of its own.
