Native to the Rio Cristalino in Brazil, Staurogyne Repens grows close to the substrate and spreads through side shoots, gradually forming a dense mat of rich green foliage. Its broad, smooth leaves with a subtle midrib give it a clean look that stands out against fine-grained substrates.

Unlike many foreground plants, Staurogyne Repens is forgiving — it grows fine without CO2 injection, though supplementation encourages faster, more compact growth. It's a solid choice for aquascapers at any level who want structure and depth in the foreground.
