Water Wisteria's deeply lobed, feathery leaves give it an intricate look that suggests more demanding care than it actually requires. In practice it's one of the easier and faster-growing stem plants around, tolerant of a wide range of light levels.
It pulls nutrients from the water column aggressively, which puts it in direct competition with algae and helps keep things balanced. You can root it in substrate or simply let it float — floating tends to push growth even faster. Either way it's a forgiving choice for someone just starting with stem plants.
