The Gold Nugget Pleco (L018) is a heavily patterned pleco, with a jet-black body covered in evenly spaced golden-yellow spots and matching gold edging on the dorsal and caudal fins.

This species is best suited to intermediate or advanced keepers, since it needs warm, highly oxygenated, slightly acidic water along with regular feeding to stay in good condition. Given those requirements, it rewards the effort with one of the more distinctive looks available in the pleco world.
