Molly (Poecilia Sphenops)

Mollies are a widely kept livebearer, sold in numerous color forms including classic Jet Black, Dalmatian, Gold Dust, and Sailfin varieties. Their rounded bodies and active personalities have made them a mainstay in community aquariums around the world.

Mollies adapt readily to different water conditions and can even handle brackish setups, and they breed prolifically once settled in. They do best with a little aquarium salt added to their water and appreciate a plant-rich environment.
