A singular piece of weathered American oak, shaped by time and water into something that cannot be replicated.
Measuring approximately 12 inches in length, this specimen was collected, sanitized, and prepared entirely in-house at The Aquatic Garage. The dense grain of oak makes it one of the most structurally stable driftwood varieties available - resistant to waterlogging, slow to decompose, and built to anchor a scape for years.
What to expect in your tank
Oak releases mild tannins upon submersion, softening water and shifting pH slightly downward - conditions that replicate the blackwater rivers of South America and Southeast Asia. The result is a warm amber tint that many aquarists seek deliberately. If you prefer crystal-clear water, a brief boiling or extended soaking period will significantly reduce tannin output before placement.
