Alternanthera Reineckii (Red)

Alternanthera reineckii brings color rather than form to a layout its lance-shaped leaves run through shades of red, pink, and magenta, intensifying as light levels rise. It's a reliable way to break up a sea of green with warm tones.

Moderate to high light paired with CO₂ injection brings out the deepest coloration; without CO₂ it still grows, just more slowly and with somewhat muted color. Plant it in the midground to background, where it works well in both nature aquarium and Dutch-style layouts.
